Hermantes Studio are very conscious that everything our industry creates and specifies has an environmental and social impact.

As a business, we have a lasting design ethos where our specifications are selected to ensure quality and flexibility in their buildability & construction, but to also ensure they will be aesthetically desirable and relevant for as long as possible and are able to be repurposed in their lifespan. We are all about sustainable, enduring & quality design over current fads & gimmick-led solutions. Great design requires longevity.

Recent projects have embraced an extensive rejuvenation programme for our Clients’ existing assets to ensure an ethos of Re-Use, Re-Cycle and Re-Purpose, adapting and breathing new life into tired elements to make these projects shine!

We consider the embedded energy and material waste that may result from our specifications and actively promote circular design. We are currently working with established & new product manufacturers to ensure we have the clarity of their manufacturing methods & their supply chain and that we are making informed, sustainable choices with any material specification. We also look beyond this, ensuring our suppliers’ packaging is minimal & fully recyclable, reviewing distance of travel, local sourcing where possible and comparative carbon footprint options.

We also care about your wellbeing and look to ‘low-to-no VOC’ options to ensure our choices are healthy ones for your environment.

Reuse initiatives from Businesses to Schools - for redundant office furniture to be donated to schools in need, thus providing aspirational environments and helping to alleviate funding shortages, where critical funds can be deployed elsewhere.

IT Asset Lifecycle Management with a commitment to zero waste technology - which we know is a huge issue in this current Workplace climate where technology upgrades and IT redundancy are coming at us all thick and fast!
